St. Augustine Cemetery — A Day of Remembrance

Return to primary St. Augustine Cemetery page.

Despite the cold, damp, and windy conditions, nearly 50 people attended the first of what is hoped to be an annual Day of Remembrance for those interred at St. Augustine and St. James Cemeteries in Bridgeport, CT. These two cemeteries are the final resting place for many of the early Catholic settlers of the city, including more than 70 Civil War Veterans.
