Lynch Burials in Connecticut Cemeteries

As with American immigration in general, the state of Connecticut began to experience a dramatic increase in the number of Irish immigrants in the mid 1800s as they were seeking refuge from famine and harsh conditions back home. Most would settle in the larger cities where jobs were plentiful — especially in Waterbury and Bridgeport.

Over time, this section of our site will serve as a jumping off point to cemeteries throughout Connecticut where various Lynch families have been laid to rest. As we transcribe information and photograph headstones, we will post information here. We welcome your help and realize this will be a project years in the making (as time allows), so please be patient.
