Research Archive for Lynch Genealogy

During the course of our Lynch family history research, we have reviewed a wide range of data sources. Although only a small portion of Lynch records pertained to our immediate family, we thought it silly to dismiss others entirely since they may be a distant connection. If you are conducting Lynch research, especially based in Connecticut, you may find these pages helpful.

Cemetery & Burial Records
These records are specific to Connecticut Lynch families. As we are able to transcribe cemetery records, we will add them to our list by city/town and by cemetery. Where possible, photos of Lynch headstones and monuments will also be included.

Census Records
The U.S. Federal Census records are critical for establishing relationships as family groups, especially for early Irish immigrants. This section deals primarily with the Lynch families of Waterbury as they appear in the U.S. Federal Census and also in the special 1876 Waterbury City Census. Detail will be added for the Lynch families of Bridgeport and elsewhere in Connecticut as time allows.

Passenger Arrival Records
Passenger arrival information from Castle Garden (1850-1890) and Ellis Island (1892-1924), as well as other passenger lists available online that may include information for any Lynch passenger. These arrivals are not limited to those bound for Connecticut.
